If a dub is produced, historical patterns for noitamina romance titles suggest an announcement via the streaming platform's official news channels rather than the Japanese side. Track the following official sources for the fastest confirmation:
| Source | What to Watch For | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Official anime site | News posts, broadcast info | hotaru-anime.com |
| Official X account | Dub and cast announcements | @hotaru_anime_pr |
| Crunchyroll news | International streaming and dub updates | crunchyroll.com |
| Fuji TV noitamina channel | PVs and episode releases | YouTube |
Fan wikis and AI-generated videos frequently list fake English voice casts for newly aired anime. Until a streaming platform or the official anime account confirms a Firefly Wedding English dub, treat any named English actors as unverified.
Anime Production and Japanese Cast Overview
While dub casting remains unconfirmed, the Japanese production details are official and worth knowing before any English version arrives.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Original title | Hotaru no Yomeiri (ホタルの嫁入り) |
| Studio | david production |
| Broadcast block | Fuji TV noitamina |
| Premiere date | October 9, 2026 |
| Satoko (JP) | Lynn |
| Shinpei (JP) | Koki Uchiyama |
| Source manga | 9+ volumes, 5M+ copies in circulation |
The story adapts the contract-marriage arc between Satoko Kirigaya, a frail daughter of a wealthy Meiji-era family, and Shinpei, the assassin whose survival becomes entangled with her marriage prospects. A dub adaptation would need to preserve the tonal contrast between Satoko's refined speech and Shinpei's blunt, dangerous delivery—something the Japanese performances establish as central to the pairing.
Simulcast dubs are usually greenlit based on early viewership numbers. Popular romance-thriller hybrids like Firefly Wedding often receive dub announcements two to six weeks after premiere, so recheck platform catalog pages weekly during the fall 2026 season.
How to Track and Watch the English Version
Follow these steps to stay current on both the subtitled simulcast and any potential dub release.
Follow the official channels
Bookmark the official anime site and the official X and YouTube accounts. Dub and casting news for international releases typically cross-posts here first.
Check the streaming catalog page
Search Crunchyroll's catalog for Firefly Wedding. The official streaming announcement confirms platform availability and regional access for the simulcast.
Watch subtitled episodes weekly
New episodes follow the weekly Japanese broadcast schedule starting October 9, 2026. Watching the sub simulcast supports the series and improves the likelihood of a dub pickup.
Verify dub announcements before sharing
Cross-reference any rumored English cast list against official platform news pages. Confirmed dubs always come with a dated press post naming the studio and actors.
As of October 13, 2026, Firefly Wedding is available internationally in Japanese audio with subtitles, including English. English, Spanish, and French subtitle tracks are standard for simulcast titles on major platforms.
